Vision Drive's Class D behind-the-wheel program is the hands-on core of Ohio driver education for new drivers. You'll spend eight structured hours behind the wheel with a certified, state-licensed instructor in a modern dual-control vehicle, learning at a pace that matches your confidence.

Every session ends with personalized feedback, so you know exactly what to practice next — and by the end you’ll be ready for the Ohio road test and for a lifetime of safe driving.

Who it’s for & requirements

• Non-US persons, or Ohio residents under 21
• New Ohio drivers completing their Class D license
• Hold a valid Ohio temporary permit (TIPIC)
• Completion of the required 24-hour online course

How it works

   Choose this course and complete secure checkout online. After enrolling, sign your training contract, complete the emergency-contact form, upload your permit (TIPIC), and upload your 24-hour online completion certificate.

2. Book your sessions

   Log into your student account to book your lessons — your 8 hours run as 4 two-hour sessions.

3. Train with your instructor

   Build skills over 8 hours of guided driving.

4. Get test-ready

   Finish prepared and confident for the Ohio road test.
